About Me
I am a big fan of words. Short, silly words, long, grandiose words, words that bring you to a specific time and place, words that were clearly borrowed from another language. I really like onomatopoeias and alliterations and rhymes, but my favorite part of words is how they lead into sentences, which lead into stories, which is what makes us who we are. I like using words to tell stories, to bring a specific time or place to life, to make someone laugh or learn something or feel seen. I gave myself glasses as a kid staying up late reading all my books in the dark, I'll read the cereal box before pulling out my phone, and I refuse to use swear words because there's so many other, better words to express my feelings.
I believe that words have the power to advocate for others, expand the word, and compel action. That's my favorite way to use words, and why I wrote the pieces you see here.
